Russian forces used an “Oreshnik” missile to strike an infrastructure facility near Lviv that was not linked to gas supplies. Gas infrastructure was not damaged, Ukrainian lawmaker Serhii Nahorniak said on the Novyny.Live.

The lawmaker commented on reports of gas supply problems near Lviv.

“In fact, gas infrastructure in the Lviv region was not damaged. There was some damage caused by the blast wave, but the enemy directed its "Oreshnik" at another facility not linked to gas,” Nahorniak said.

He also shared his view on the purpose of the strike using the “Oreshnik” missile.

“I think this was more of a political move, or an element of pressure on Ukraine, meant to show the European Union that the "Oreshnik" can reach them. It was more of a show of force and saber-rattling, nothing more,” the politician said.
